Monument to No One CD Release Party 9/26

Monument to No One offers a piercing, psychedelic space rock counterbalanced with ambient mysticism and gritty grunge chops. Heavily influenced by the mid-90’s space rock of Hum and Failure, Monument To No One combines the psychedelic guitar arrangements reminiscent of the early Smashing Pumpkins with the edgy melodic grooves of grunge-era arena rock. Self-titled CD is now available. CD release show is Saturday 9/26/09 @ Trailer Space Records in Austin, TX. Knights (7pm), Falcon Buddies (8pm), MTNO (9pm). Free. BYOB.

(This post came ambling over from The Deli Austin’s Open Blog - post your band’s entries, videos, and Mp3s here.)

Painkiller Hotel

Painkiller Hotel is an alternative rock band that is slowly sweeping people off of their feet. The Chicago-based foursome is a personal favourite of Chris Henderson (3 Doors Down) who signed them to his own label, Rock Ridge Music.

The band's extensive touring has included 2007 and 2008's SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX, Australia, and many Midwest shows. Their music has also been featured on hit TV shows such as "Living Lohan", "Real World: Sydney" and "The Hills".

Their latest release, Black Roses, is on sale on iTunes.
