Hurry
New Hurry Single Release Available for Streaming & Purchase

The trio of Hurry recently shared a new single release via Lame-O Records. “Frustrate You” stews in a reserved, reflective tempo as the lingering, melancholy, rainy day vibe plays out in delicate melodies. On its B-side, “An Element Of Surprise” picks up the pace, creating a sense of urgency and optimism over a final stand/opportunity. You can find Hurry sharing a billing this Friday, May 10 at Everybody Hits with Gladie and Happy Accidents.
Weekend Warrior, September 28 - 30

When local artists and businesses throughout a music scene unite as a community in celebration and support of each other, good things are the result. Philly Music Fest serves as an opportune event. What began yesterday at Johnny Brenda’s with Pissed Jeans and Soul Glo continues for the next two days at World Cafe Live. Tonight, the elegant hypnotically galvanizing pop of Vita and the Woolf, the endless boogie of Low Cut Connie, the raw and ragged, sweat-saturated, surf-infused, garage rock of The Whips, and the earnest, scene-transporting, songwriting force of Waxahatchee are among those that shape its sonic surroundings. And tomorrow, Palm cultivates an experimental push-pull, hovering between tranquil waves and frenetic, unconventional changes in direction. The melodic, eruptive, dynamic swings of The Districts, the tenacious, cosmic-rocking, riff-combusting charge of Ruby the Hatchet, and the soothing, introspective vulnerability of powerpop trio Hurry are also slated for Saturday. Come take part in this locals only weekend! – Michael Colavita

New Hurry LP Available for Streaming

Every Little Thought, the new full-length album from Hurry, will officially be released on February 23 via Lame-O Records. In advance, the trio recently shared a video of themselves sitting consumed by their phones, with a sign that reads "EVERY LITTLE THOUGHT Hurry 'world premiere'" hanging behind them while the album plays in its entirety. The collection of songs continues the group's trend of producing crisp, melodic, personally-insightful music that moves with a loose but purposeful pace. The tracks go with the flow; however, they do manage to soar when the opportunity knocks. The band will be hosting its record release show at Everybody Hits on Saturday, February 24, supported by Amanda X and Worriers' Lauren Denitzio performing solo.
New Music Video: "Waiting For You" - Hurry

Every Little Thought, the forthcoming album from Hurry, will be released on February 23 via Lame-O Records. Directed by Brendan McHugh (Everyone Everywhere), the video for “Waiting For You,” which was shot at Philadelphia Horticultural Center, finds the band perusing the plants as well as performing. A pensive plot of isolation, perpetuated by persistent phone use, is both relatable, and hints at a need to change. Hurry is scheduled to perform at Everybody Hits tonight, with Wildhoney, Glitterer, Empath, and Knifeplay.
Weekend Warrior, October 27 - 29

We know. What to do? What to do…this Halloween weekend? We love the all hallow-est of eves! And Philly does not have a shortage of diverse things to do. If you find the idea of swanky surroundings with the echo of groove-oriented experimental beats flowing through your ears and tarot card readings blowing your mind, Final Friday’s AfroFuturist Affair Costume Ball at the Philadelphia Art Museum this evening with locals Moor Mother, Sammus, and Fholston Paradigm is a no-brainer. And since things will be wrapping up relatively early, you still have plenty of time to catch Dark Thoughts at the LAVA Space benefit. On Saturday, the 8th annual TJ Kong Halloween Murdershow will be doing debaucherous things in the below ground lair of Underground Arts. The familiar faces of Levee Drivers and Tutlie will be joined by sexified newcomers OOLALA and Shy Boyz. And if you don’t really feel like leaving the Fishtown/Kensington/NoLibs area, tomorrow will be a nice evening to take a buzzed walk to your favorite neighborhood DIY space Everybody Hits for Hurry’s 2nd Annual Halloween Spooktacular, with pals Shannen Moser, Cave People, and Anomie. All proceeds will go to The Humane League of Philadelphia. For those who really haven’t had enough this Halloween weekend, you might need to chill out at Union Transfer, where Petal will be performing a solo set, opening for the always captivating Julien Baker and Half Waif. Wherever you find yourself, enjoy that you are there - cheers! – Alexis V.
