2k15's summer fest game is getting stronger by the week: indie music web series Dirty Laundry TV hosts its own Summer Fest, happening this Sunday from 1:30 PM till 12 AM at The Satellite. 

Mainstage performers include triple-threat Rob Zabrecky + members of Possum Dixon, Mike Watt & The Missingmen, Colleen Green, Kera and The Lesbians, Deep Fields, and more, with Sunshine Mind and Gateway Drugs just recently added on.

There will also be an acoustic side stage featuring Samira of Winter, Nima of So Many Wizards, Los Angeles Police Department, Bobby T. and the Slackers, and Joel Jerome, to name a few.

And last but not least, your event DJs Andrew King (Crystal Antlers), Mariana Timony (Lo-Pie), and McAllister (KXLU 88.9 FM) will round out the moshpit and dance floor all day and night.

This event has NO advance sales; tickets are $10 before 6 PM and $12 after. Yes, you'll get in, especially if you come out in the daytime (but not if you're under 21). There will also be a swap meet with local vendors and labels like Danger Collective Records and Porch Party Records, and food by HACHÉ LA —best burgers imo.

Christoph Hochheim has an intimate history with New York's shoegaze/dreampop scene, as a past member of the now-defunct shoegaze/chiptune The Depreciation Guild and a current member of The Pains of Being Pure At Heart along with Anton Hochheim.

However, the brothers have also been working as Ablebody, a Los Angeles passion project that first featured remixes and covers, but later grew to self-release High Home, a three-song instrumental EP with ethereal cries, bent-out guitars, and dying electronics. 2013's All My Everybody EP developed with 80's soft and clipping synth vibes. Slower and more sensual, the five songs now had Christoph's warm and reassuring in front of the mix, even as the album dealt with more serious feels per an interview with BYT. Ablebody's latest release dates back to last year, but does a complete 360-reverse-moonwalk to the dancey indie pop "After Hours" before getting rugged with fuzzy B-side "Lose Your Head".

Ablebody will play their first set since early January this Friday for Young Lover's fifth night of residency along with Sacramento's glazed out indie pop quintet Soft Science and the jangle-psych group Deep Fields. The jangly, 60's psych magic of Orange County's rising sextet Deep Fields has been churning around Southern California venues as of late, and yes: it is definitely possible to fit a Rhodes piano, Juno synth, a drum set, and six warm bodies on a stage. Christian Peters, who also plays with psych-pop singer/songwriter Cotillon, started Deep Fields as a bedroom project but eventually found a handful of talented people through mutual circles. Influenced by psychedelic acts like The Zombies and MGMT, Deep Fields' music is a sonic fractal of catchy riffs and swirly textures. As of last year, the group has been hard at work writing new songs and lighting up clubs like Harvard and Stone, The Slidebar, Que Sera, and Los Globos. Check out the video for their first single "Salazar" below!
