New Track: "Dead Batteries" - Conversations

Conversations's forthcoming album, Journey to Edge of the Galaxy, is scheduled to arrive on September 27. As a precursor, the band recently shared a new single, “Dead Batteries”. Its narrator embraces what lies ahead as it reflects on a former relationship in an energetic, hook-fueled fashion. You can catch the band’s free record release show at The Barbary on Friday, September 27, with support from The Towering Pine and South On Sunday.

Conversations Opening for Little Tybee at Bourbon & Branch July 14

Conversations may have dropped the discussions with their "enemies" and directed their energy towards the much-needed after-school music program, Rock to the Future. However, husband and wife combo, Josh and Jessica Craft, still enjoy churning out feel-good, indie-pop ditties, like the ones found on their latest project's debut release Totally Redeem Yourself, which was recorded with Joe Reinhart at Headroom Studios. They'll be opening for Atlanta folk outfit Little Tybee this evening at Bourbon & Branch. Also helping to bring a bit of sunshine on this cloudy day will be whimsical folk-pop trio The Extraordinaires. Bourbon & Branch, 705 N. 2nd St., 8pm, $10, 21+ - H.M. Kauffman

Conversations Record Release Show at PhilaMOCA March 14

This evening may be the record release party for Conversations debut full-length, Totally Redeem Yourself. But it’s business as usual for the two founding members of Conversations with Enemies, Josh and Jessica Craft, who have teamed up with Paul Montgomery and Ian Zolitar of the folk radio show Bridging the Gap for their latest project. Thus far, the quartet has had a heck of a warm up already opening for the legendary Beach Boys. The nine-song album was reorded at Headroom Studio with Joe Reinhart, and was mastered by Alex Santill of Spice Hounds Sounds. It features vibrant multi-part harmonies, folk-pop tunes, and uncanny chemistry between all four members. Tonight will also be a good chance to catch veteran folk-punk crooner Joe Jack Talcum before he and the Dead Milkmen depart for tour in April. The show will also feature the latest project from members of Algernon Cadwallader, Dogs on Acid. PhilaMOCA, 531 N. 12th St., 8pm, $10, All Ages - Bill McThrill

New Track: "Airplanes" - Conversations

Earlier this year, Coversations with Enemies revealed that they'd be changing their band name by shortening it to Conversations, which made sense to us with all their lineup changes over the years. The quartet just shared their latest romantic little ditty yesterday called "Airplanes." It was recorded at Headroom Studios with Joe Reinhart, and mastered at Spice House studios.
