Brittany Campbell highlights universal love in "Champion"

Brittany Campbell puts you on cloud nine with a new R&B single titled “Champion” that is romantic with its dexterous electric guitar riffs, snappy beats, and atmospheric breaks. Campbell’s vocals, in sweet motion with those of Phil., tell a story of passion universal and use each verse to spread that, culminating in soothing refrains. The song, released on National Coming Out Day, is accompanied by a music video whose comic book aesthetic is charming, each frame fantastic and sensual. “Champion” pays complete tribute to all the elements that make R&B timeless and, in the process, delivers an important message about love; stream “Champion” below for a trip up to a better place. - René Cobar

Brittany Campbell Unveils BLM-inspired animated music video “Matter”

NYC's soul act and visual artist Brittany Campbell, who was featured on the cover of The Deli's issue #45 back in 2016, when print was still a thing, unveiled this animated video for the song Matter, dedicated to the BLM movement. "I wrote the song when the protests started happening nationally for this resurgence of the Black Live Matter movement" - says Brittany - "I was creating a lot of art, at the time, (both visual and sonic) in tribute to Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery etc…A lot of the visuals used in the video are those very same pieces. The song was brought to life by producer Sam Hoffman (Mereba)."

Brittany Campbell "My Garden" Video

Brittany Campbell relocated to Chicago from New York to join the cast of Hamilton about a year ago. Back in April she released her latest album “Stay Gold” (now available on vinyl), and today she dropped a wonderful video for the single “My Garden” from that album.

Brittany is also teaming up with Candace Quarrels to make beautiful music as the duo Mermaid. We can’t wait to hear more from both of them.
